Main areas

Bred in Shizuoka by crossing Kyoho with Cannon Hall Muscat. The berries are larger than Kyoho, and seedless-treated fruit is sold as New Pione. Okayama is the main growing area, and the fruit is both high in sugar and strongly aromatic.
